The life of a Mommy

a couple things

January9

My husband suggested I either update or forget about blogging, LOL!

So I figured after a month break I could do a little update. :)
Today, I am trying my hand at making yogurt. about 11 hours to go and I can let you know the outcome. Seems almost too easy.

This is the recipe I’m using.

There have been a couple changes to the site since I last posted. I actually have decided to remove any pictures of my kids because of an issue with a family member. Their safety is more important than my showing them off! I have a facebook page for my personal friends and I guess I’ll just have to be content with that.

The boys are both doing good. Elijah is potty trained except for at night time, but I would say wakes up dry about half the time. Gideon is walking really well, starting to learn some sign language and really interested in talking! Elijah and him really are starting to play well.

One other announcement I almost forgot about.. WE’RE PREGNANT! After so many years of infertility this pregnancy happened fast and I am humbled by what a blessing it is!

We’re exploring some different options as far as Doctors go, hopefully we’ll have one soon. I really want to avoid another c-section and the complications that can arise from that. We don’t want this to be our last child and that many c-sections can’t be good on a person!

My calculations put me close to 8 weeks now. I noticed with my second one that I had a pooch pretty quickly, well this one is the same. My regular clothes are ALREADY getting mighty uncomfortable! That’s really okay with my because I LOVE my maternity clothes!

Time to put the boys down for a nap!

Hey girl! I’m glad to see you blogging again! I completely understand about the pictures. It’s hard to know what to put on the Internet and what not to put out there.

CONGRATULATIONS on the baby! That is so excited. I’m happy for you guys! I can’t wait to see the new little one.

Take care my friend! Know that I think about you often! (and not just when I need to get my nails done :o )

Hi I am a first time visitor. Congratulations on the pregnancy! I’m pregnant with my third too, my third BOY.

I am a huge home birth advocate so I am going to suggest looking into that in order to avoid a c-section. A lay midwife is knowledgeable enough to know if you need to go to the hospital, but otherwise you can have a natural and intervention free birth at home or at a birth center. I have had two beautiful home births and am planning a third. My midwife is totally awesome. If you are interested in knowing more about home birthing you are welcome to come to my blog and comment and I’ll be glad to give you any information etc.
