strep anyone?
Tuesday afternoon I changed a diaper of Gideon’s (1 yr. old) and it was the worst one I think I’ve ever changed. Maybe this is TMI but I share because my throat starting hurting during this ordeal of changing him.
I use cloth diapers but they were in the washer (note to self “DO NOT PROCRASTINATE WASHING DIAPERS!”) so I was using a plastic cover and the old fashion type diapers… there is definitely a reason these are not so popular.
Let’s just say that getting a plastic cover off and trying to keep the insides from spreading everywhere is almost impossible
Enough graphics for now, I just needed to intro into the main topic! LOL
I mentioned that was Tuesday, my throat has felt progressively worse since then. Last night my husband left our bedroom because I was snoring so loud. Sorry honey! Before he left for work he suggested he should look and make sure I didn’t have strep or something. I laughed at him. I’m 28 years old and never had it so why now?
When I opened my throat (let me interject and say here that I have been gagging on my uvula and my throat feels like its closing in) he was shocked. My uvula is at least 3 times its normal size (it’s touching my tongue) and I have white spots all over!
Luckily I was able to call a nurse at my Dr’s office and get a prescription called in. The funny things don’t stop yet though. I bundled both boys up and loaded them in the car, then was thanking the Lord when I remembered Kroger has a drive up pharmacy window which didn’t make Elijah (2) happy because he wanted kefir at the store, LOL
So I ask the pharmacist about the swelling and he gave me some ideas and then asked how I planned on swallowing the ginormous antibiotic. It looked to me like he was about to laugh at me!
I got home and took the meds, somehow I got them down and I’m just praying this swelling goes down. I’ll tell you what, if it’s not one thing it’s another around here!
I’m sure I’ll get to feeling better soon, Please just pray that my little ones don’t get this. We share drinks, food, and kisses all the time so they’ve definitely been exposed.
Oh and probably email me if you have something to say, talking is kind of painful. But don’t tell that to my husband he would make jokes about me needing to be quiet anyway
Have a blessed day
